Although Terri hates the idea of living a lie, Lucas insists that it's just a bit of harmless play-acting for a good cause. She reluctantly agrees and the Ramsey Harvest Festival gives them plenty of opportunities to be together. When Terri finds herself falling for Lucas, though, she starts to regret her decision.

Jana Bailey is doing her best to raise her son on her own after she was unexpectedly widowed four years ago. Money is tight, but she's managing. When her car breaks down and it's clear it needs to be replaced, she has to make a difficult decision.

Her son, Shawn, has been training in Tae Kwon Do for a year and he really loves the sport. Paying for that and a car payment, though, will stretch Jana's budget past its limits. Master Andrew Caldwell offers a possible solution.

Jana can work part-time at the Tae Kwon Do school, on nights and weekends when she isn't busy at the college where she's employed as an administrative assistant. There's just one catch. In addition to working there, she'll also have to start training.

The classes prove to be challenging, but trying not to notice how attractive Master Caldwell is proves even more difficult. He's seven years younger and in incredibly great condition. There's no way he'd ever be interested in Jana, she reckons, even if she were ready to think about dating again.

After fifteen years of full-time work and part-time study, Suzy Snyder has finally finished her degree. Now she just has to find the perfect new job. She's been working at the Diner since she was a teenager, but even though she's now the manager, she wants more.

A job as an area manager for Lucas Hogan sounds perfect, but Karl Kemp, the man temporarily filling the position, is quick to let Suzy know that she doesn't have enough experience for the job. The two end up arguing about just about everything as they seem to bump into one another all over the small town of Ramsey.

The last thing Leanne wants in her life is a puppy, but she finds herself falling in love with the little abandoned pup. Getting involved with a man who always puts work first isn't in her plans, though.

Jennifer Hardwick loves everything about Ramsey, New York, the small town to which she recently moved. Divorced, with grown children, she's happy on her own in a little house near the high school where she teaches math.

Her new friends at the school talk her into taking part in the town's "Romance Roundup", a speed-dating event that's part of the Ramsey Valentine's Faire. She's just happy that Seth Pierce, a man she met the night before the Roundup, is going to be there. He's very nice and he'll be good company, even if the rest of the night is a waste of time.

To her surprise, she meets a man with whom she has instant chemistry. Brian Lewis is handsome, smart, and something of a workaholic. He leaves town almost immediately for a work conference, and Jennifer finds herself spending more and more time with Seth.

When she needs a date for her ex-husband's wedding, can Brian find the time to go with her, or should she take Seth, the man she put in second place on the night of the Roundup?

When Debbie met Andy the first time, they'd shared a romantic evening together. That was the last time she'd seen him until more than twenty years later when he walked in the Ramsey DMV where she was working.
